A trip to Montreal: cute animals and street art!
First up: the Biodome.
The jungle biome.
I got kind of obsessed with the leaves in the fish tanks, and their reflections…
The spoonbill is a weird and creepy bird
And then the Canadian maple forest…
Otters are otterly adorable up close.
…the noble otter. Unlike the Capybara, the otter can only hold that pose for about 0.3 seconds.
…and then to the artic biome!
The puffins were right up against the glass, at ground level, so you could actually interact with them.
are you taking a picture of me?
(I was taunting him with my camera strap — he followed it reflexively like a cat.)

Montreal is a gorgeous city and I really really need to visit again when the weather is good enough that i can just go on a long photo trek. I love all the doors and staircases and architectural details… and also, they have an incredible variety of street art, not all of which looks sanctioned, but nearly all of which was very well executed and added a lot of character to the city.
although I’m not sure why anyone needs 30-foot-high racoons…
